Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up and how did you get into horses?

I’m 20 years old a full-time auctioneer i grew up and still live in a small rural town Randolph Ohio that I like to consider the center of the world. I started riding horses when I was about 5 years old at my Mimi’s barn where I learned how to ride and took lessons there for many years till I bought my own horse and have moved him to my house

What is your Titus’s personality like? Any quirks? What is something people may not know about him?

Titus is a kinda of go-with-the-flow type horse until you ask him to run lol he’s so set in his ways, there really no changing him, you let him work and he tries so hard to take you to the top

Did you breed and raise Titus yourself? If not, what attracted you to him to purchase?

I did not. I knew he was fast but quirky so that’s why a lot of people didn’t want him. I’ve always like him since I was a kid and if he would give you a good run it would take you to the top

Tell us anything special about your arena record run – was there anything you done different that day?

It was a really cool experience. I did not think he ran that much faster than he did in his previous run at that arena. But the only thing I did differently was ask him to run to the first barrel. I normally just let him go his own pace but I knew he was gonna have to run to the first to get any money cause the ground was fast and there were plenty of good horses there. I just smooched him into the first and then he took it from there. I thought something was wrong when I came out cause everyone was screaming and I didn’t think he ran that much faster.

Do you have a favorite setup?

Small 14-second pens

What is his exercise routine like?

Long trot a lot

What is your feeding program like, do you use any special supplements?

He eats Danco forage alfalfa cubes and dynamite speciality supplements

Does Titus run in shoes or barefoot?

Shoes

Any big Future Plans?

Get married, have a big famil,y raise good horses and quality show cattle

If you could make a run on any horse out there, who would it be?

Probably Lisa Lockharts Louie

What could be done to better the sport of barrel racing? Is there any special advice you would like to give?

Be nice and cheer everyone on

Thank You Jack for taking a moment to catch up with EquiSpace Records! Congratulations on your Arena Record Run!
